| Who
are the mysterious SACK TRICK? A kind of supergroup led by one time Atom
Seed/Bruce Dickinson band bass slapping wizard Chris Dale - alongside him
you'll find members (or one time members) of Rachel Stamp (yeah, that drumming
slut Robin gets himself everywhere - did you see him on Top of The Pops
playing in Faith No More?) Robbie Williams' band, Gun, Kill2This, Wildhearts,
Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Anti Product, Plan A - god knows who chris has got
in his band this week - it's a kind of Zappa/Van Halen/Chili Peppers/Kiss/Super
Furry Animals/even more Zappa larger than life thing for Zappa fans who
like it bass heavy in a Zappa eats Metal kind of way. The debut album "(Music
From) The Mystery Rabbits" came out in late 1997 and amongst other things
it involved in the never ending search for blue ice cream.....
October 2000
saw the release of the second album "PENGUINS ON THE MOON" - and it is
indeed a concept album about Penguins going to the moon that comes with
it's own 16 page inner sleeve comic book, the reviews have been brilliant,
the band have been doing all kinds of things in all kinds of lands - including
a strange stint touring European festivals alongside various death metal
bands and with Bruce Dickinson as front man. Sack Trick have another strange
habbit of playing millions of Kiss songs (and sometimes going as far as
putting on full Kiss make up and school girl dresses and calling themselves
School Girl Kiss). Inbeween the gigs (and the paintball battles) the Sack
Trick boys have been working on an aklbum of Kiss songs - the album SHEEP
IN KISS CLOTHING is expected sometime in APRIL 2003 (on Inferno Records...
haven't we come upon them somewhere else?) or Maybe September 2003 or maybe
APRIL 2004???? I'm told its finished now.... I don't know... I think SackTrick
gave up on Inferno in theend and did it themselves
